Our studio in collaboration with Jas Bhalla Architects have been commissioned to prepare a planning application for a single storey rear extension on Camden Park Road; a ground floor flat located in the Camden Square Conservation Area. The design incentive was to convert the existing into a double bedroom flat with two bathrooms and to create a living space with a semi open kitchen overlooking the garden.

 

The planning submission was informed by the the Local Authority’s guidelines to significantly reduce the scale of the rear extension so that it does not harm the proportion of the built and unbuilt spaces and preserve the open character of garden areas.
